portrait of young girl with windblown hair
****Member of The International Guild of Realism****Member of Arkansas League of Artists*** Member Portrait Society of America**** Like most I began drawing at an early age. Some of my earliest childhood memories are of time spent drawing people, places and things that interested a young boy. It was a great escape during times I was ill and confined to bed or the house as there was no internet and only 4 channels on tv to watch growing up in the '60s . There were no museums nearby, just a library and the only chance I had to see paintings were in books and the family bible which as I recall held magnificent works by Carl Heinrich Bloch. That stoked my interest in painting along with a coffee table book of Norman Rockwell illustrations....

Great painting overall...but specifically, that is the best painting of hair I have ever seen.
Glenn Beasley replied:
Words cant express how much I appreciate your kind words Karyn. I love to paint hair and i took extra time painting her little flyaway hairs on this one with an old brush i trimmed down to just a few bristles. I am so glad you enjoyed it as i really had fun painting it! Thanks again, Karyn
